Our client is a rapidly growing provider of electronics solutions to the aerospace and defence markets. Due to a rapidly increasing portfolio of power conversion designs, they are now seeking a Principle Power Design Engineer, to be based in Glenrothes.

The successful candidate will be required to supervise multiple product design teams, and provide technical guidance to those teams, to ensure the timely delivery of development programmes.

Responsibilities of the role will include-

- Use and development of tools and techniques to aid the process of design
- Developing product specifications in line with customer requirements
- Providing power architectures and conversion design experience to product developments
- Use of Six Sigma tools and processes to promote a culture of continuous improvement

This is a complex, highly technical role that will appeal to candidates with an interest in power conversion design and development, mathematical modeling, and computer based analysis.

To be considered, applicants must have a degree in Electronic Engineering (or a related discipline). The following are also required-

- A proven track record in power systems development
- Experience within a Power Conversion product design environment
- A good understanding of product lifecycles

In return, the company offers a salary of £45,000-£55,000, plus benefits.
